Aggressive skate wheelsAggressive skate wheels
Aggressive skate wheels come in a variety of sizes given in mm diameter and Hardnesses given as a recognised Polyurethane Hardness Rating. Sizes for Rollerblading wheels are usually from 50mm upto 60mm with 56-58mm being the most popular by far. Generally, the larger the diameter, the faster the skate wheels. However, note that some 59mm and 60mm wheels won't fit in some low profile UFS frames. The hardness Rating for Polyurethane skate wheels is given in numbers from 85a up to 95a, occassionally slightly higher or lower too. The most common hardnesses are from 88a to 94a. Generally Harder compound aggressive skate wheels will last longer and are particularly suitable for street skating, whereas Softer compound rollerblading wheels will wear more easily on Rough surfaces, but are particluarly suitable for smooth surfaces such as those found in skateparks such as our own
Uk skate Park in Stockport, Manchester.

Skate WaxSkate Wax
Wax can be your best friend or your worst enemy depending on what you are skating and what your ability is. Used wisely and in moderation, it will make that sticky rail or ledge become a great skate spot, whether in a skatepark or out street skating. Used to excess it will just be way too slippy for all but complete beginners who feel they need it exceptionally slippy to grind, which is not really the case, you just need more speed, balance and skill and above all practise ! Here you will find wax suitable for rails or ledges etc, use it wisely kids or you'll just annoy the better skaters !
soulplates etcsoulplates etc
Any aggressive skater who's likes to grind rails ledges etc will eventually wear out their Soulplates and Backslide plates. These are the plates that take all the punishment of the grinds and are easily replaceable. Ukskate have a selection of soul plates and backside plates to suit your needs.

UFS FramesUFS Frames
Aggressive skate frames - The chassis of the skate, known as the frame, connects to the base of the skate using 2 x 6mm allen key bolts. Skaters grind or slide on the frames and soulplates, which are specially made to withstand this and are usually replaceable. There are various types of frame design, however since early in the year 2000 all but the very cheapest aggressive skates and frames have standardised on the fitting. The Universal Frame System (UFS) was introduced by frame manufacturers to allow skaters to easily customize their skates or keep them rolling for longer by replacing the worn out parts. Originally most skaters used four wheels on each skate, with a small gap between the middle wheels where a plastic insert called an h-block was used for grinding. This is referred to as a flat setup. As the sport has evolved and skaters have progressed,Manufacturers introduced small harder wheels and a larger groove in the Frame for Grinding. The undersized wheels are called anti-rockers. Some frames come with anti-rockers and others require them to be purchased separately if required. Some rollerbladers don't use Middle wheels at all. A few UFS frame manufacturers have taken this a step further with so-called Freestyle frames which have just two axles and a very large groove from front wheel to rear wheel allowing for tricks which were never possible on a traditional Flat setup. Well Known UFS Frame Manufacturer Kizer also produce a UFS Suspension Frame with a Free-style Groove and Suspension arms on each end to dampen the shock of harsh landings ! They are currentlly the only manufacturer making this type of frame and they have proven to be very popular. Ukskate Stock most of the Major Manufacturer's UFS Frames and can obtain any others that you wish to order within 48 hours
